Exhibition on Italian Connections to Greek Art Opens in Reggio Calabria

An exhibition exploring the historical ties between Italian culture and Greek art will open at the Museo dei Bronzi in Reggio Calabria on October 22. Titled “Ispirazioni. Vite italiane dell’arte greca,” the display is scheduled to remain open to the public through December 31.

The Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) is promoting the event as the second stop for the traveling exhibition. The initiative highlights how classical Greek aesthetics have influenced Italian artistic development over centuries. Officials stated that the collection aims to bridge the gap between ancient heritage and modern Italian identity.

Visitors can view the artifacts during standard museum operating hours. The exhibition serves as part of a broader effort by the government to increase public engagement with classical archaeology across the region.
