Turin Hosts ‘Women & the City’ Festival Focused on Gender Equality

The “Women & the City” festival will take place in Turin from November 6 to 18. The event series aims to promote gender equality and inclusivity throughout the city. A preview event featuring director Francesca Archibugi is scheduled to launch the initiative.

Organizers from the Fondazione Torino Città per le Donne stated that the festival’s primary goal is to foster dialogue about gender roles within urban environments. The foundation emphasized that achieving meaningful progress requires active participation from men as well as women. The program includes various discussions and cultural events designed to address systemic barriers and highlight the contributions of women to city life.
