Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor Release New Book on Contemporary Fascism

Authors Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor will publish a new book titled *The New Fascism and the Fight for the World We Will Live In* on October 27, released by Italian publisher La Nave di Teseo.

The work examines the resurgence of authoritarian tendencies in global politics and explores strategies for collective resistance. Klein, known for her critiques of capitalism, and Taylor, a scholar of digital culture, combine their perspectives to analyze how economic, technological, and ecological crises intersect with far‑right movements.

According to the publisher, the book offers case studies from Europe, the United States, and Latin America, highlighting how populist rhetoric exploits climate anxiety and social inequality. It also proposes policy frameworks aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and fostering grassroots activism.

Background

Klein’s previous titles, such as *This Changes Everything*, have focused on climate justice, while Taylor’s *The People’s Platform* addressed the politics of online collaboration. Their joint effort reflects a growing scholarly interest in linking environmental and political challenges.

What’s Next

The authors plan a series of public talks and webinars across Europe and North America following the launch. La Nave di Teseo will distribute the book in Italian and coordinate translations for broader international release.
