Flipkart-Backed super.money Reports Revenue Growth Amid Rising Losses

Fintech platform super.money, backed by Walmart-owned Flipkart, reported a significant surge in operating revenue for the 2026 fiscal year, even as its net losses widened. The company, which operates primarily in the UPI payments sector, saw its revenue more than triple during the period.

  • Market position: As of September 2026, the startup processed over 40.51 Cr UPI transactions valued at more than ₹19,613.3 Cr.

Breakdown of Expenditures

The company’s rapid expansion efforts led to a substantial increase in overheads. Business promotion remained the primary cost driver, totaling ₹341 Cr, which represents a 3.34-fold increase from the prior year. Employee benefit expenses also grew by 73.8%, reaching ₹138.1 Cr.

Other operational costs, including communication charges and contracted services, rose to ₹47.9 Cr. Finance costs saw a significant jump, increasing to ₹11.1 Cr from ₹0.1 Cr in FY25, while marketplace charges decreased to ₹15.6 Cr.

Business Operations

Launched in 2024 under the leadership of CEO Prakash Sikaria, formerly a senior vice president at Flipkart, super.money has established itself as the fifth-largest player in the UPI payments market. Beyond core payment processing, the startup has expanded its business model to include loan facilitation, connecting borrowers with banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). The firm also partners with banks to offer co-branded credit cards and provides fixed deposit booking services.
