Consumer Appliance Maker Atomberg Technologies Secures SEBI Approval for IPO

Consumer appliance manufacturer Atomberg Technologies has received regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch an initial public offering (IPO). The company, established in 2012, plans to raise capital through a mix of new share issuance and an offer for sale.

IPO Structure and Financials

According to regulatory filings, Atomberg intends to raise 450 crore rupees through a fresh issue of shares. The IPO will also include an offer for sale of over 76.5 million equity shares, each with a face value of 10 rupees. The company stated it will allocate the proceeds toward debt repayment, marketing efforts, research and development, and general corporate expenditures.

Atomberg reported revenue of 1,293.77 crore rupees for the 2026 fiscal year, marking a 34.83 percent increase from the 959.51 crore rupees recorded in the previous year. Despite top-line growth, the firm posted a loss of 148.88 crore rupees for FY26.

Operations and Market Reach

The company manufactures various appliances, including mixer grinders, water purifiers, and cold-pressed juicers. Beyond consumer products, Atomberg supplies motors and controllers to enterprise clients such as Voltas, Godrej, and BlueStar. Its production is supported by two leased manufacturing facilities in Pune, Maharashtra.

Atomberg utilizes an omni-channel distribution strategy. Revenue from online channels rose to 456.45 crore rupees in FY2026, up from 234.51 crore rupees in FY2024. Offline revenue, generated through distributors and retail chains, increased to 820.11 crore rupees from 562.47 crore rupees over the same period. Online sales currently account for approximately 35.76 percent of the company’s consumer appliance revenue.

Why it matters: This IPO represents a significant shift for a company balancing rapid revenue growth with ongoing financial losses. The move signals Atomberg’s intent to scale its omni-channel distribution model and expand its footprint in the competitive Indian appliance market, providing investors a chance to bet on a manufacturer that serves both individual consumers and major enterprise partners.
