Revenue from overseas markets grew 2.6 times to ₹621 crore, compared to ₹236 crore in the prior fiscal year. Domestic revenue increased 28% to ₹1,202 crore. To support this international push, Astrotalk increased its marketing expenditure by 144.2% to ₹823 crore.
While consultation services—delivered via chat, calls, and video—remained the primary revenue driver at ₹1,657 crore, the company’s ecommerce division saw rapid growth. Revenue from the Astrotalk Store, which sells spiritual products like gemstones and crystals, more than quadrupled to ₹166 crore. This segment now accounts for 9.1% of operating revenue, up from 3.1% in the previous year.
Financial Position and Outlook
Astrotalk’s profit before tax increased to ₹296 crore from ₹75 crore. The company reported that cash flow from operations rose 21% to ₹229 crore. Year-end cash and investments, including bank deposits, mutual funds, and bonds, reached ₹917 crore, a 41.1% increase from ₹650 crore. The startup stated that it funded its expansion into new business lines and international markets through internal cash flows rather than external capital.
Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, the platform connects users with astrologers. The company has raised $34 million to date from investors including Left Lane Capital and Elev8 Venture Partners. Future plans include the opening of offline stores and the introduction of a separate gemstones offering.
