Indra-led Consortium Delivers 100th Dragón Armored Vehicle Amid Ongoing Delays

The Dragón 8×8 armored vehicle program finally hit a milestone this Tuesday as the Indra‑led consortium handed over its 100th unit.

  • Indra holds a 51.01% stake in the temporary union of companies delivering the vehicles.
  • Despite the delivery, the consortium now expects only 114 operational units by year‑end, 24 short of the 138 promised for 2026.
  • An extra six vehicles will be offered to the Army, but they won’t finish validation before the December 31 deadline.

While progress is visible, the schedule still falls short of Defence’s expectations.
