Egypt’s President Al-Sisi Rejects Constitutional Changes Amid Misinformation Warnings

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi said the nation’s constitution will remain unchanged, warning that ongoing rumors are intended to destabilize the state. Speaking at a military event marking the anniversary of the October War, Al-Sisi stated that misinformation campaigns are attempting to manipulate public opinion and recreate the instability experienced in 2011.

Addressing the country’s economic trajectory, the president defended the government’s continued reform program. He noted that the state has spent more than EGP 120 billion over the last 14 years combating terrorism. Al-Sisi also addressed regional security, affirming Egypt’s commitment to its borders and a two-state solution. He emphasized that Gulf state security is linked to Egyptian national security. #Egypt #AlSisi #MiddleEast #Politics
