BMW to Introduce Lighter M Motorsport Frame for 2027 M 1000 RR

BMW Motorrad announced that the 2027 model of its M 1000 RR sport bike will feature a new M Motorsport aluminum frame. The third‑generation chassis is reported to be 1.3 kilograms lighter than the current version, according to the manufacturer.

The weight reduction stems from redesigned tube profiles and the use of higher‑strength alloys. BMW says the lighter frame will improve handling and agility without compromising rigidity. Production of the updated model is slated to begin in 2027, with deliveries expected later that year.

Industry analysts note that the change could enhance the M 1000 RR’s competitiveness in the supersport segment. BMW has not disclosed pricing or any other technical upgrades accompanying the new frame. #BMW #Motorcycle #M1000RR @BMW @MotorcycleNews
