Egypt Ministry of Agriculture and FEI Partner on Rural Industrialization

Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation is partnering with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to expand agro-processing capabilities in rural communities. The initiative aims to transform underutilized assets into manufacturing hubs to improve economic stability for farmers.

  1. Minister Alaa Farouk and FEI chairperson Mohamed El Sewedy met to discuss integrating public and private resources to support rural development.
  2. The ministry plans to convert local infrastructure into manufacturing-based entities to increase the added value of agricultural products.
  3. The FEI committed to providing technical expertise to operate industrial complexes and offering training for rural residents in export-standard packaging.
  4. The government pledged to provide incentives for investors to reduce crop losses and improve market access for smallholders.
