Two Point O Capital Raises $10 Million for Clean Energy Financing

Two Point O Capital, a startup focused on clean energy for commercial and industrial sectors, has secured $10 million in Series A funding. The company aims to bridge the financing gap for decentralized energy projects, which often struggle to attract capital compared to large-scale utility installations.

2024

The company was founded by Karan Bhutani, Archit Mehrotra, Manya Ranjan, and Shashidhar Reddy. During this year, the firm also raised over $6 million through a combination of debt and equity financing. The startup established a business model centered on providing turnkey solutions, equipment leasing, and financing for rooftop solar, battery energy storage systems, and wastewater treatment projects.

2025

Two Point O Capital closed its Series A funding round led by Transition Venture Capital (TVC). Existing investor Omnivore participated in the round, alongside angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy. The company stated it will use the funds to finance clean energy assets for commercial and industrial clients, enhance its technology platform, and increase its workforce.

Current Status

Two Point O operates a full-stack platform that combines financing with project execution. The startup manages an internal non-banking financial company (NBFC) to handle loan distribution, while a separate entity manages service and leasing requirements. CEO Karan Bhutani stated that the company uses a proprietary underwriting engine to evaluate the technical and credit profiles of potential projects. This system allows the firm to issue proposals within 48 hours. Deployed assets are equipped with IoT technology for real-time monitoring and preventative maintenance.

Why it matters: This funding addresses a critical bottleneck in the clean energy transition. While large utility projects receive substantial investment, smaller industrial facilities often lack access to capital despite having commercially viable opportunities to reduce operating costs. For emerging markets and regions with growing industrial footprints, such platforms provide a scalable mechanism to implement energy efficiency and sustainability upgrades.
